Please note this is a live workshop and is not recorded.

Sign up today to spend a few hours learning how to make a miniature book!

This workshop will walk you through the steps to make a case-bound book that’s only 2 inches tall.

This little book is a great project for dipping your toes in, if you’ve never made a book before.

The tool/material list is created for those who have no bookbinding supplies.

Required Tools:

Scissors

Mat knife or scalpel (just scissors will work too)

Cutting mat

12” ruler (and dividers if you have them)

Brush (for gluing if you use PVA)

Sewing needle

Binder clips/bulldog clips

Bone folder (if you have one)

Pencil

Wax paper

Paper towel

Materials Required:

PVA Glue (if you don’t have this, a glue stick will work as well)

Thread (any thin sewing thread will do)

White paper (for the text block aka, the book’s pages – printer paper works great!)

Cardboard (cereal box thickness)

Colored paper (for the book cover/endpapers/spine, no cardstock)

If you have book cloth, you can use that for the spine

Online Workshop Process:

The instructor will be in contact prior to the workshop to share the meeting link and any required directions about materials preparation. Materials should be prepared in advance of the workshop which will allow participants to take the best advantage of the live format. Please review the technical requirements on the workshop registration page prior to registration to be sure you can participate.

Please note this is a live workshop only - nothing will be recorded.

Technical requirements for participation:
