Altered Books

Duration: 1 day, Saturday May 9
Hours: 10:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m.
Course Fee: $115.00 members & non-members
Materials Fee: $10.00 payable to the instructor
Prerequisite:  none
Transform neglected books into beautiful sculptures using Japanese Chiyogami and Tibetan papers. In the morning we will enhance pages with colour and pattern and in the afternoon we will make the pages move, tell a story or just look amazing.
Books and paper will be provided. Of course you can bring your own too.
 
Wendy Kennedy is a bookbinder and printmaker living near Almonte ON. She studied papermaking, bookbinding and printmaking at the Ottawa School of Art and has taken classes at the Canadian Bookbinders and Artists Guild in Toronto.  Wendy has participated in two Crown and Pumpkin Studio Tours (Almonte) and has had her work featured in PAGES magazine, an Interweave publication.
