By Piet Hein Artist's Statement: This work is a set of earrings, consisting of two tiny books. One book has a quotation by Christopher Fry and the other a "Grook" by Piet Hein. Ingrid Hein Borch was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she studied hat design, and clothing, patternmaking, and tailoring, and where she worked as a milliner and hat designer. She studied design and photography in Chicago, ceramics in California, and weaving, calligraphy, drawing and painting, and jewellery in Calgary. She studied bookbinding in Calgary and at the University of Iowa. Exhibitions include CBBAG's The Art of the Book '98 and The Art of the Book '03.
